The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for dealership employees and customers in accordance with company policies.
Essential Functions- Clean work areas, empty trash, and collect scrap and used materials to process in accordance with company policy and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform routine building maintenance to minimize interruption of customers or employees.
- Wash windows, glass doors, and glass panels throughout service, sales, and customer areas. Arrange for contract window cleaning and supervise the work.
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors on schedule, arrange for buffing or waxing, and carpet cleaning per scheduled floor maintenance program.
- Clean all signs, posters, service signs, mirrors, fans, and vending machines.
- Maintain hot beverage areas by cleaning counter surfaces and restocking coffee and related supplies.
- Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies as needed.
- Notify supervisor of required materials and supplies to perform duties.
- Clean driveways and sidewalks, removing snow and debris as necessary.
- Empty and clean lunchroom refrigerator once a week.
- Wash shop truck, interior and exterior.
- Clean forklift and power equipment.
- Empty and clean all trash receptacles, interior and exterior.
- Remove all debris from the dealership.
- Maintain yard equipment and cleaning supplies.
- Clean oil storage tanks according to procedure.
- Drain and dispose of used oil filters properly.
- Remove and dispose of scrap materials as directed.
- Assist technicians with oil and water spills and with emptying drain tubs.
- Maintain and wear all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer and in accordance with company policies.
- Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to working with hazardous materials. Report any deviations to management immediately.
- Communicate with supervisor if additional work is needed.
- Follow all attendance and punctuality standards with adherence to timekeeping standards.
- Follow the Company Code of Business Ethics and Conduct.
- Understand and follow all work rules and procedures and follow lawful directions from supervisors.
- Uphold the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements.
- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company policy.
- Attend pertinent training on request.
- Attend company meetings as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

This position will require the employee to be standing for prolonged periods of time.
