Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Central Sterile Processing Specialist to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of infection control and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Retrieve and process contaminated medical instruments and equipment
  • Operate and maintain decontamination equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Inspect and test instruments and equipment to ensure safety and quality
  • Organize and store sterile supplies, maintaining accurate records and inventory
  • Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Certification in sterile processing preferred
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in central sterile processing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
Working Environment

As a Central Sterile Processing Specialist at WVU Medicine, you will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and work in a variety of settings, including operating rooms and patient care areas.
