Job Description

Reneson Hotels, Inc. is seeking an experienced Hotel Sales Manager to join our team in Northern California. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling all of our branded properties, including Hilton, Holiday Inn, and Best Western. You will work closely with our Director of Sales to establish and achieve sales goals, and will be responsible for independently qualifying, soliciting, and developing new corporate accounts. You will also be responsible for selling meeting room space with food and beverage, and will have access to all Reneson PMS systems. Responsibilities:

  1. Establish and achieve sales goals in conjunction with the Reneson Director of Sales.
  2. Responsible to independently qualify, solicit, and develop new corporate accounts while maintaining relationships with existing accounts in all markets.
  3. Sell meeting room space with food and beverage, using approved catering menus, and enter information into Venue Management Software.
  4. Responsible for the administrative duties associated with selling and booking guest and meeting rooms, including answering and responding to calls in a timely manner, filing, responding to email inquiries timely, and typing proposals, contracts, compiling information for the BEO, tracking leads and communication in a professional manner.
  5. Provide a positive attitude and sales leadership to the Assistant General Manager and Front Desk staff, and attend front desk meetings to assist with an 'everybody sells' mentality at the property.

Requirements:

  1. Applicant should possess a strong sales knowledge of the operations of a limited-service hotel, generally involving at least two years of operations and sales.
  2. Applicant should know about the hotel sales and marketing process and have a background in hotel sales.
  3. Applicant must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Applicant must possess superior leadership and training skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
  5. Applicant must possess excellent fundamental math skills and the ability to operate the PMS system and work within the related hotel reservation system.
  6. Applicant must be able to regularly hear, sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  7. Applicant must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and periodically lift and or move up to 10 pounds.
  8. Applicant must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record to travel to various properties on a consistent basis.
