Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

Jackson Healthcare Government Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessing and treating acute problems, administering medications, and performing various treatments.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct prescreening and intake screening of patients, using established tools to gather subjective and objective data.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and render emergency care to stabilize patients and prevent deterioration.
  • Participate in involuntary, court-ordered care, as required.

Requirements:

  • Current, full, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the state in which the duty station is located.
  • Minimum one year of professional experience as a licensed Registered Nurse in a hospital, medical office, or residential setting.
  • Experience in a detention/correctional healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Ability to properly use equipment, materials, and supplies in simple diagnostic and treatment procedures.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.
  • Ability to adapt to sudden changes in schedules and flexibility in work requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Verbal and written proficiency in Spanish.
  • Experience in a detention/correctional or residential healthcare setting.
  • Certified Correctional Health Professional, Certified Correctional Health Professional - Registered Nurse, or Certified Corrections Nurse credential.

Working Conditions:

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, or jogging unaided over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities, such as agility and dexterity, visual, and hearing capabilities.

Supervisory Controls:

This is a contract position, and supervisory controls will be set forth by the contract vendor. Technical oversight will be provided by the Government Technical Monitor (GTM).
