Faculty Position in Organizational Communication

Middle Tennessee State University is seeking a tenure-track faculty member to join its Department of Communication Studies. The successful candidate will have primary expertise in organizational communication and be able to teach concentration courses such as Introduction to Organizational Communication, Instructional Communication for Human Resource Trainers, Organizational Communication Consulting and Auditing, Interviewing, Communication in the Global Workplace, or Women, Leadership and Communication.

About the Job
  • The position requires a terminal degree in communication or a closely related field.
  • The successful candidate is expected to have a strong teaching philosophy and research/creative activity record.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach core courses in the major, such as Communication Theory, Quantitative Methods, or Critical Methods.
  • Develop classes in their area of expertise.
  • Contribute to the development of the graduate program in Organizational Communication.
