Position Overview: Patient Registration Clerk

As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Patient Registration Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for patients. This position involves a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the efficient operation of our clinic.

  • Patient Interaction: Welcome and assist patients with a warm and professional attitude.
  • Insurance Verification: Confirm insurance eligibility for patients scheduled for appointments.
  • Documentation Preparation: Organize and prepare necessary paperwork for different medical visits.
  • Patient Check-In: Utilize the NextGen system to check in patients effectively.
  • Reception Management: Handle incoming calls and maintain a well-organized reception area.
  • Supply Management: Order and manage supplies to ensure the front desk is well-stocked and organized.
  • Data Entry: Accurately enter patient information and process forms on a daily basis.
  • Mail Duties: Perform daily mail responsibilities and manage batch ledgers.
  • Flexibility: Assist in covering additional clinic locations as required.
  • Patient Portal Enrollment: Facilitate the enrollment of members in the Patient Portal and collect necessary fees.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to work across various company locations or departments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Valid California Driver's License and vehicle insurance.

The compensation for this position ranges from $24.27 to $28.55 per hour, depending on various factors such as location, skills, and experience. This role is classified as 'at-will', allowing for adjustments in salary and compensation based on performance and market trends.
