Our expertise encompasses a wide array of services including drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, safety assessments, bioanalytical services, and comprehensive laboratory support for clinical trials.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Research Associate with extensive experience in various biochemical, cellular, and molecular assay technologies pivotal to drug discovery. Proficiency in robotic liquid handling systems, magnetic particle processors, and diverse plate readers is essential. Familiarity with assays such as ELISA, MSD, Flow Cytometry, and RNA extraction for gene expression will be crucial. A solid understanding of assay functionality, data interpretation, and troubleshooting techniques is vital for success in this role. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists dedicated to delivering precise data in support of early-phase drug development projects. This position is lab-based and requires adaptability, efficiency, creativity, and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute instrument protocols tailored to client specifications in collaboration with scientists and research associates.
  • Analyze anomalous data with peers to identify potential instrumentation issues.
  • Resolve instrument malfunctions effectively.
  • Coordinate with vendors for service requests in case of persistent instrument failures.
  • Ensure lab equipment is maintained in optimal condition.
  • Assist in lab organization and sample management initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Learn and execute established protocols for various plate-based assays.
  • Interpret results utilizing both in-house and client-specific templates.
  • Engage in discussions regarding experimental design and outcomes with colleagues.
  • Maintain a detailed lab notebook.
  • Contribute to the preparation of both informal and formal protocols and reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in cell biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated industry-based laboratory experience is required.
  • Proficient in the use of liquid handling systems and other automation technologies.
  • Experience in developing assays with colorimetric, luminescent, and fluorescent readouts, as well as multi-color flow cytometry, is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of drug discovery processes.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and communication skills.
  • Key attributes include attention to detail, curiosity, self-motivation, and initiative.
