About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Speech Pathologist to join our team at AdventHealth Sports Med & Rehab. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with speech and language disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and conduct medically indicated speech language pathology treatment programs for patients in our clinic.
  • Establish speech therapy diagnosis, implement and adapt an individualized treatment plan of care, including appropriate goal setting, treatment activities and frequency.
  • Discharge patients when maximum benefit has been achieved and/or according to standards of practice and payer guidelines.
  • Engage in promoting evidence-based standards of care and lifelong learning through autonomous and collaborative participation in research, journal club/reviews, teaching/mentoring/CI, and/or clinical practice education within a peer group.
  • Communicate appropriately and effectively with patients, family and health care professionals within and across care settings and communities.
  • Practices principles of professional development and performance by maintaining clinical knowledge, using best and/or evidence-based practices, and may serve as a clinical instructor.
  • Regularly participates in marketing to physicians/physician practices to build referral relationships with a minimum of 2 contacts per month.
Requirements
  • Active Florida license OR provisional license as a Speech and Language Pathologist.
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence by American Speech & Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Previous feeding experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
