Position Overview:
The Operations Supervisor will oversee daily venue operations, ensuring effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality assurance, and safety protocols as outlined in the Transportation Operations Plan developed collaboratively with clients and TMS leadership.
Enhancements to operational procedures, systems, and principles in information flow, business processes, and management reporting are essential, alongside identifying opportunities for system expansion.
Supervisory responsibilities must align with company policies.Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary on-site liaison for all planned and executed venue services.
Collaborate closely with TMS leadership on staffing, routing, and vendor management necessary for delivering contracted services.
Possess in-depth knowledge of local area road networks and public transport systems.
Coordinate with TMS quality assurance teams to ensure that services meet acceptable standards and receive positive client feedback.
Engage with bus vendors to procure quality equipment within budgetary constraints.Manage driver dispatch and organize breaks/hours, ensuring all transportation systems adhere to schedules.
Accurately complete bus check-ins and submit detailed reports to procurement promptly after each event.
Resolve complex transportation logistics challenges and manage documentation related to service issues efficiently.Train and prepare team members for projects, conducting pre-training meetings and post-event reviews to enhance service delivery.
Ensure accurate staff lists to deploy the appropriate number of personnel.Oversee part-time staff management, ensuring schedules are communicated in advance and adhered to.
Ensure completion of all expense reports, timecards, and schedules.
Follow established procedures when engaging third parties and subcontractors.
Document after-action reviews and client feedback for continuous improvement.
Achieve positive client and associate satisfaction as indicated by post-event surveys and develop action plans for identified opportunities.
Conduct pre-event meetings with staff and drivers to review emergency protocols, route accuracy, and incident management procedures.
Travel requirements for this role may involve up to 20% of time outside the local area.Experience & Education:
Industry experience, particularly in Live Events, is crucial. A bachelor's degree along with 6+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong relationship-building and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and projects concurrently.
Experience in delivering large-scale city-wide events is essential.Successful candidates will have a history of achieving operational satisfaction and delivery goals, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software.
A high motivation for operational excellence, organizational skills, and the ability to anticipate client needs are vital for success in this position.
