Job Summary

As a Nurse Practitioner in our Interventional Pulmonary Medicine team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of our clinical services. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients with lung cancer and other pulmonary conditions, and we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with pulmonary conditions
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Participate in educational programs and research studies to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in pulmonary medicine
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures
Requirements
  • One (1) or more years of recent experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in an adult medical surgical setting
  • Previous working experience with pulmonary-related medical procedures
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with chest imaging
  • Recent oncology experience
  • Experience in the ICU
  • Familiar with thoracentesis and/or bronchoscopy
License/Certification
  • California driver's license (CDL) if required for position
  • Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work
  • Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California
  • Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner
  • Obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice
  • Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day
  • Current AHA BLS

UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
