Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner Job Description

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Pulmonology. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our physicians to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients with pulmonary conditions, including history taking and physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote healthy behaviors and self-management of chronic conditions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in pulmonary medicine and incorporate evidence-based practices into your care.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of California.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience working in a pulmonary medicine setting, preferably in a hospital or clinic setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
