Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Audiologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As an Audiologist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive hearing diagnostic evaluations, including pure tone air/bone thresholds, speech reception threshold, word recognition, middle ear analysis, and site of lesion determination. You will also be responsible for interpreting results, assessing patient lifestyle, and counseling patients regarding evaluation results, including recommended follow-up and treatment plans.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive hearing diagnostic evaluations for patients of all ages, including geriatric and pediatric populations.
  • Counsel patients on hearing loss, hearing aids, and listening strategies, and provide in-office hearing aid maintenance and repair.
  • Perform electroacoustic analysis and rear ear measurement to ensure patient benefit.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure best practices and positive care outcomes.
  • Participate in departmental training and identify own learning needs to meet continuing education requirements.
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum one year of clinical experience (concurrent with Doctorate training).
  • Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.).
  • Audiologist License (Washington) required at hire.
Additional Requirements
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, co-workers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of clinical competency in auditory and vestibular diagnostic and rehabilitation audiology, including amplification devices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Four years of experience in diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology.
  • Expert level competence in required areas with specialty skills that may include advanced vestibular evaluation, Bone Anchored Hearing Aids, Cochlear Implants, and tinnitus treatment.
