Audiologist, Full Time

As a key member of the Kaiser Permanente team, the Audiologist will provide comprehensive hearing and balance disorder evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, education, and referral services to patients and their families. This role will work within the integrated Care Delivery model, collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Essential Responsibilities:- Hearing Diagnostic Evaluation: Conduct thorough hearing diagnostic evaluations, including pure tone air/bone thresholds, speech reception threshold, word recognition, middle ear analysis, and site of lesion determination. Interpret results and assess patient lifestyle.
- Rehabilitation Services: Provide counseling on hearing loss, hearing aids, and listening strategies. Select and fit hearing aids, troubleshoot issues, and perform electroacoustic analysis and real ear measurement to ensure patient benefit.
- Pediatric Hearing Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive pediatric hearing evaluations, including visual reinforcement and play audiometry, otoacoustic emissions, tympanometry, acoustic reflexes, and auditory brainstem evoked response with site of lesion determination.
- Advanced Audiologic Evaluation: Perform evoked potential testing to determine vestibular and audiologic site of lesion, including electrocochleography, visually evoked myogenic potential, videonystagmography, and neurologic and threshold auditory brainstem evoked response.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure best practices and positive care outcomes. Communicate effectively with team members to accomplish workload and provide in-service training as requested.
- Experience: Minimum one year of clinical experience (concurrent with Doctorate training).
- Education: Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.).
- License and Certification: Audiologist License (Washington) required at hire.
- Verbal and Written Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Relationship Building: Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, co-workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Clinical Competency: Knowledge of clinical competency in auditory and vestibular diagnostic and rehabilitation audiology, including amplification devices.
- Experience: Four years of experience in diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology.
- Expertise: Expert level competence in required areas with specialty skills that may include advanced vestibular evaluation, bone anchored hearing aids, cochlear implants, and tinnitus treatment.
