Job Title:

Marketing and Communications Specialist - Geriatric Medicine

Job Summary:

The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Geriatric Medicine, is seeking a Marketing and Communications Specialist to support a required element of the RISE grant. The purpose of this position is to recruit and engage long-term care communities in ongoing quality improvement work and educational resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute communication strategies to ensure greater than 40% of the South Central RISE LTC communities have 2 or more participants engage in 1 or more activities/resources.
  • Lead and execute communication strategies to engage long-term care communities.
  • Develop and implement communication strategy in alignment with RISE partners, including PA Office of Long Term Care Transformation.
  • Create tools and approaches to track use of new communication tools.
Requirements:
  • Ability to track and assess communication strategies, their success or failure, and use that information to shape ongoing communication and engagement strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to function as part of a team.
  • Ability to self-direct and complete deliverables set forth by the PI.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Clearances:

Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History, and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check.

Salary:

The pay range for this position is $42,000.00 - $61,000.00.
