Job Title: Plumbing Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Specialist to join our team at Southern Air. As a Plumbing Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial and public buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial and public buildings
  • Work with others as a team to learn and perform tasks laid out by the plumbing superintendent and lead plumber
  • Knowledge of plumbing practices and methods, health and safety regulations, and materials for operating and repairing plumbing systems
  • Operate specialized machinery, equipment, and tools to repair, install, and maintain plumbing systems
  • Assemble pipe sections, tubing, and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Install other plumbing equipment, such as sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, appliances, and trim
  • Determine water supply networks and waste drainage systems are in working order
  • Assemble and install valves and fittings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience as a plumbing apprentice performing in commercial or residential installation and or an equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
  • Journeyman or Master Plumbers License preferred
  • Overtime may be necessary, and one must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
