As a key member of the healthcare team, the Emergency Room Nurse Leader provides high-quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with established standards of care, policies, and procedures. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively manage and coordinate the care of patients, while also promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership: The Emergency Room Nurse Leader serves as a role model and leader, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in patient care and customer service. This includes:
- Developing and implementing effective care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Mentoring and coaching staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Identifying and addressing areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance the quality of care.
- Education and Experience: A minimum of six months of recent experience in an Emergency Department or Critical Care setting, or successful completion of a KP ED training program or approved equivalent within the past twelve months.
- Licensure and Certification: Current Registered Nurse License (California) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Basic Life Support certifications.
