Dishwasher Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at Adams Place Independent Living. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, flatware, pots, and pans in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Transport and store dishes, flatware, and other kitchen items in a clean and organized manner.
  • Clean and sanitize the dish machine and dish room on a regular basis.
  • Scrape, stack, and wash dishes, flatware, and other kitchen items.
  • Wrap flatware as needed.
  • Bus tables in the dining room and clean/sanitize tabletops.
  • Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies to prevent waste and ensure quality products.
Requirements:
  • A sincere interest in food service and a willingness to work with seniors and other healthcare patients.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic and modified consistency diets information to use in preparing and serving patient trays.
  • Knowledge of correct sanitation and food safety procedures.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks daily.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Ability to speak and understand English.
  • Basic computer skills may be beneficial but are not necessary.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and productively with FNS partners as well as non-FNS partners following established policies of the center.
  • Desire to fulfill the responsibilities of the position and be at work on time and during scheduled shifts.
  • Ability to work under supervision.
