About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Low Observable Systems Engineer to join our team in Tucson, AZ. As a key member of our Signature Management & Technology Team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing advanced signature control techniques for our Low Observable (LO) weapon systems.
Job Description
The successful candidate will have a strong background in Stealth technology, Radar Cross Section (RCS), and Computational Electromagnetic Codes (CEM). You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and testing LO targets on ground plane ranges and compact ranges. Additionally, you will work with our team to develop proposal writing and Basis of Estimate (BOE) development skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, analyze, and test LO targets on ground plane ranges and compact ranges.
- Develop and implement advanced signature control techniques for LO weapon systems.
- Collaborate with our team to develop proposal writing and BOE development skills.
- Present results of testing, analysis, and design efforts to internal and external customers.
- Provide effective personal interaction and collaboration with a multi-disciplined team and customers.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Ten years of engineering experience, including LO technology or RCS or CEM.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multiple tests of LO targets on ground plane ranges and compact ranges.
- Absorber material treatments / design and testing experience (coatings, paint, MAGRAM).
- Academic or applied experience utilizing RF testing techniques, terminology, and test equipment.
- Understanding of electromagnetic fundamentals.
What We Offer
Raytheon offers a competitive salary range of $118,000 - $246,000 per year. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
