Job Overview

Position Summary: As a Warehouse Selector, you will independently choose full-case grocery, frozen, and/or perishable items from designated storage areas using a pallet jack or similar equipment. You will utilize order sheets or an audio headset to facilitate your selections. Your responsibilities will include organizing items onto pallets, securely wrapping them, and transporting them to the shipping area, with some instances of loading onto trailers for customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accuracy in your work while adhering to production and safety protocols.
  • Employ necessary picking technology (e.g., voice or scanner) to select products efficiently.
  • Operate a double walkie-rider or pallet jack to retrieve cases from storage and place them on pallets, applying selection labels as required.
  • Transport completed pallets to the shipping dock for delivery to retail locations.
  • Utilize proper wrapping techniques to safeguard products and report any discrepancies in case quantities or descriptions to your supervisor.
  • Keep your work area organized and clean.
  • Conduct equipment inspections as needed.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.

Work Environment:

  • Freezer Warehouse (-20F to 0F)
  • Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F)
  • Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting pay of $25.50 per hour, with potential earnings up to $28.00 per hour.

  • Commitment to safety and reliability in attendance.
  • Ability to meet productivity expectations while producing quality work.
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 60 lbs and continuous movement.
