This position is integral to the Payroll Operations Team, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough audits of employee time and labor records, engaging with supervisors to confirm data accuracy and rectify any discrepancies.
  • Manage payroll processing in a multi-state corporate framework, including calculations for shift differentials and other pay variations based on specific shifts and contractual obligations.
  • Establish and verify the accuracy of federal, state, and local tax obligations, social security contributions, employee benefit deductions, and other payroll-related deductions.
  • Assist in reconciling payroll accounts by addressing and resolving any payroll discrepancies.
  • Analyze and respond to employee inquiries regarding paycheck details, deductions, leave balances, direct deposits, and other payroll-related concerns.
  • Process garnishments and ensure effective communication of garnishment details to all relevant parties.
  • Research and compile necessary documentation to establish tax accounts in new operational states, addressing payroll tax payments and discrepancies with governmental agencies.
  • Serve as a liaison with payroll service providers regarding any payroll-related issues and cases.
  • Generate various payroll reports utilizing payroll management software.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a large, multi-state environment.
  • Experience with UKG (Ultipro) and payroll training is highly desirable, along with familiarity with various timekeeping systems.
  • Knowledge of year-end processing and W-2 form management.
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across different functions.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in processing payroll for large employee populations is preferred.

Work Environment:

This position allows for a hybrid work arrangement, with a combination of in-office and remote work.
