Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support team members in designated functional areas, ensuring that key deliverables and quality benchmarks are met, while addressing challenges and managing performance.
  • Conduct counseling, coaching, and disciplinary sessions for team members, managing employee relations effectively.
  • Take charge of selecting methodologies and instruments for laboratory tests tailored to the patient demographics served.
  • Ensure active participation in and successful completion of quality control and proficiency testing programs aligned with the services provided.
  • Maintain a strong presence in work areas, offering leadership for daily operational matters across all shifts.
  • Coordinate team efforts to maintain and implement changes in work processes, ensuring high-quality outcomes and adherence to established success metrics.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Histology, or Cytology.
  • Experience: A minimum of four years of extensive experience in laboratory processes, with advanced troubleshooting, leadership, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Certification: ASCP or AMT Board certification relevant to the scope of responsibilities.
