Job Title: Endocrinologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Endocrinologist to join our team at Choctaw Premier Services (CPS). As a leading provider of healthcare professionals, we deliver pre-qualified healthcare providers who are licensed and credentialed to national industry standards and regulations.

Job Summary:

The Endocrinologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid diseases, adrenal disorders, and metabolic syndrome. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical skillset, excellent communication skills, and a patient-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnosis and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with suspected or confirmed endocrine disorders, utilizing diagnostic tests and interpreting laboratory results to develop a precise diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Treatment Planning and Management: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for a range of endocrine disorders, managing and adjusting treatments as necessary, and providing patient education on managing chronic endocrine conditions.
  • Patient Care and Follow-Up: Monitor patient progress and treatment effectiveness through regular follow-up visits, addressing and managing complications or side effects associated with endocrine disorders and their treatments.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, preparing and presenting reports on patient health, treatment outcomes, and research findings as required.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and coordinated care, consulting on complex cases and providing expert opinions on treatment options and patient management.
  • Research and Professional Development: Engage in clinical research to advance the field of endocrinology and improve patient outcomes, staying current with advancements in endocrinology through continuing medical education and professional development.
Requirements:
  • Education: Medical Degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school, completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine, and completion of an accredited fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
  • Certifications: Board certification in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or equivalent, active medical license to practice endocrinology in the relevant state.
  • Experience: Typically 2-5 years of clinical experience in endocrinology, including fellowship training and any post-fellowship experience, with experience in managing a variety of endocrine disorders and familiarity with current treatment protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Sub Specialization: Additional training or specialization in areas such as pediatric endocrinology, reproductive endocrinology, or metabolic bone disorders is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Clinical Expertise: Proficiency in diagnosing and treating a wide range of endocrine disorders, with expertise in managing complex cases.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills for interpreting diagnostic tests and developing effective treatment plans.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Patient-Centric Approach: Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care and address the physical and emotional needs of patients with endocrine disorders.
