The Staff Pad is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects in the DFW Area, Texas.

We have partnered with a reputable construction company that excels in delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading field activities, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring seamless coordination between the project team, owners, design teams, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of daily operations on-site, coordinating all field activities, including subcontractors, materials, and equipment, to ensure timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Effective leadership and management of subcontractors to guarantee efficient, safe, and high-quality workmanship.
  • Proactive monitoring and enforcement of project timelines, adjusting schedules as needed in response to changes or unforeseen conditions while maintaining productivity.
  • Enforcement of strict safety protocols and adherence to OSHA standards and company policies to ensure worker safety.
  • Maintenance of clear, open, and consistent communication among project team members, owners, design teams, subcontractors, and company leadership.
  • Fostering a collaborative team environment where all parties are aligned towards shared project objectives.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling regular onsite meetings with subcontractors to review project status, address concerns, and ensure alignment with the overall project timeline and quality standards.
  • Providing direction, resolving conflicts, and ensuring all trades meet project goals.
  • Facilitating regular meetings with project owners to provide updates on project progress, address questions or concerns, and discuss potential changes in scope or schedule.
  • Maintenance of strong relationships with owners through responsiveness, transparency, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Documentation of meeting outcomes, action items, and deadlines to ensure accountability and timely resolution of issues.
  • Regular onsite inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and industry standards, addressing quality issues promptly and providing guidance to subcontractors.
  • Management of material flow, equipment, and labor on-site to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Proactive identification and resolution of scheduling conflicts or delays, ensuring all subcontractors are coordinated to prevent downtime or inefficiencies.
  • Collaboration with the Project Manager to track and manage project costs, reporting any potential cost overruns or savings.
  • Identification and communication of project scope changes, ensuring change orders are processed and cost and schedule impacts are addressed and understood by all stakeholders.
  • Maintenance of a proactive safety culture on-site through regular safety meetings, enforcement of PPE use, and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Identification and mitigation of potential risks to the project schedule, quality, or safety, minimizing delays or accidents.
  • Accurate documentation of project records, including change orders, RFIs, and approvals, for future reference.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in commercial construction, with a proven track record in managing ground-up projects and field operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent practical experience.
  • OSHA 30-hour, First Aid/CPR, and other relevant certifications (preferred).
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and resolve conflicts efficiently.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, project scheduling, safety standards, and quality control.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Estimated Salary:$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
