Position Overview

At TTL Inc, we believe that every journey should be safe and secure. As a growing engineering design firm with over 450 dedicated professionals across the South, we are seeking a Lead Construction Inspector for Transportation Projects to enhance our Tuscaloosa team.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that roadway construction projects adhere to established plans and specifications. We are looking for an individual with extensive experience and a keen eye for detail to meticulously document and inspect various construction activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing daily reports that capture contractor labor, equipment usage, and project progress.
  • Assisting in the calculation of earthwork quantities and documenting ongoing construction operations.
  • Contributing to the preservation of our essential freedom – the opportunity to travel safely on well-constructed roads.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Strong professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and related technologies.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Physical capability to lift at least 50 pounds and work outdoors.
  • Possession of one or more ALDOT construction certifications, such as:
    • Asphalt Technician Level I
    • Level II Quality Management Technician
    • Certified Concrete Technician (ACI and ALDOT certification)
    • Certified Asphalt Roadway Technician
    • Work Zone Safety Certification
    • Radiological Safety Course Certification
    • Qualified Credentialed Inspector (QCI)

This is a full-time position, and candidates will undergo a pre-employment drug and motor vehicle record check.
