Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Federal Signal is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical system designs and specifications for new and existing products.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and prepare preliminary cost estimates for design and redesign projects.
  • Perform analysis to ensure product performance and reliability requirements are met.
  • Communicate with vendors to develop specifications for components and processes.
  • Write engineering change requests and product structures.
  • Assist in the development of work instructions that convey design intent to the assembly process.
  • Coordinate project progress by monitoring performance of designers, drafters, and other personnel.
  • Troubleshoot product systems as required and work directly with technicians and assemblers to resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.
  • 5 or more years of engineering experience. Advanced degree desired.
  • Knowledge of basic principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in applicable discipline, plus working knowledge of other fields.
  • Sufficiently understands customer requirements and delivers results that meet these needs.
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communications skills.
