Key Responsibilities- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings to effectively install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping and devices.
- Project Management: Manage job scheduling and progress efficiently, ensuring a strong focus on quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Installation Tasks: Execute the installation of new systems, retrofits, and tenant improvement projects.
- Pipe Fabrication: Cut, thread, and groove pipes to meet specifications using appropriate tools.
- Collaboration: Work alongside various contractors and trades to resolve coordination conflicts on-site.
- Team Support: Provide guidance and expertise to fellow field installers and helpers.
- Industry Knowledge: Maintain a solid understanding of fire industry standards and OSHA safety regulations.
- Experience: Bring two to five years of hands-on experience in the installation of fire sprinkler systems.
- System Knowledge: Demonstrate working knowledge of wet, dry, and pre-action systems, as well as backflows and fire pumps.
- Underground Piping: Experience with the installation of underground piping is preferred but not mandatory.
- Code Proficiency: Be proficient in NFPA 13, 20 & 24 code requirements.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read fire system design drawings and utilize trade-specific tools safely and efficiently.
- Training Ability: Capable of training others in the safe and efficient use of trade tools.
- Soft Skills: Exhibit excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Certifications: NICET level II certification is required, and certification in backflow inspection and repair is preferred.
