The Security Officer is a critical member of the Catholic Health Service team, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors within our facilities. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol hospital grounds and facilities to monitor lighting, parking, and overall safety conditions.
  • Monitor and enforce security regulations, including access control and visitor management.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies, and complete incident reports as required.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and secure environment for all.
  • Participate in emergency management response teams and drills.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • NYS Security Guard License.
  • NYS Driver's License.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • De-escalation training.
