Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Possess CompTIA Security+ or a higher certification to comply with DoD 8570 certification standards (IAT level 2 minimum).
  • Be trained and knowledgeable in the administration and upkeep of DCGS-A Baseline v3.2.5 (service pack 1).
  • Exhibit technical expertise in managing and developing Microsoft Windows 2019 Server, VMWare v7.0, and PostgreSQL database software.
  • Oversee monthly security and application updates for the Support Center's servers.
  • Have experience with production system roadmaps, including patch management schedules, software evaluations, change management, and IA reviews.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Demonstrate proficiency in various technologies, including Linux, Windows Server, overall systems and network administration, group policy management, virtual machines, firewall management, image building and management, HBSS/AESS, security protocols, Cisco, Active Directory, Domain Naming Service (DNS), Private Key Infrastructure (PKI), PostgreSQL, and SQL Server (preferably within the DCGS-A software baseline).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in a STEM field with 2 years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma with 8 years of experience; or an Associate's degree with 6 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • IAT Level II certification is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Atlassian products, particularly Jira and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of DCGS-A Baseline v3.2.5 (service pack 1).
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows 2012 R2/2016 Server, Microsoft Windows 10, and RedHat (RHEL) 6/7/8 operating system administration and related hardware.
  • Understanding of CISCO networking, Local Area Network (LAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies.
  • Awareness of Army and DoD security policies/manuals and other IA guiding documents.
  • Familiarity with DoD and Army networking environments, including networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LDAP).
  • Professional certifications (A+, Network+, VMWare, Computing Environment, etc.) are advantageous.

Clearance Requirements:

  • TS/SCI clearance is necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • This is a sedentary position.
