Salary Range

We offer a competitive salary range of $133,100-$210,600 USD, with an alternate range of $159,900-$252,900 USD for select locations such as Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area.

Job Description

The Elastic Platform Control Plane team is seeking a talented Cloud Services Engineer to join our growing team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for evolving and operating our control plane services (Self-Managed, Hosted, and Serverless), accelerating our adoption of Kubernetes, and contributing to the development and evolution of our Scala codebases.

You will analyze our current systems' strengths and limitations, think of ways to refactor our services to improve operations and quality of service, participate in coding, technical design, crafting solutions, debugging complicated failure scenarios, prioritizing security, bug fixes, and features, and collaborate with Support engineers in solving customer problems.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A record of software engineer excellence, delivering high-quality code to Production.
  • Experience with the Scala or JVM-based programming languages.
  • 3+ years working as a backend engineer in the IAM space OR 5+ years working as a backend engineer.
  • Deep passion for automation and raising the quality bar.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
