GATX Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analysis Associate to join our team. As a key member of our Financial Analysis Group, you will play a critical role in supporting our Commercial and Operations functions within the North American Rail business.
Key Responsibilities- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly sales activity reports, analyze key performance metrics, and provide commentary on fleet managers' performance.
- Data Management: Obtain and process data to calculate renewal success percentage and underlying contributing car types.
- Query Development: Develop, update, and maintain queries for the SAP-Business Warehouse Revenue Analysis Tool to support rate/volume and other variances analyses.
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Participate in the forecasting and budgeting of North American railcar lease revenue and maintenance expenses.
- Special Assignments: Provide analytical support for interdepartmental projects and activities, such as railcar-based financings, pricing and investment analysis, operations finance, and market analysis.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, engineering, or other field requiring analytical thinking.
- Skills: Advanced Microsoft skills, experience with SAP or other ERP systems, data mining, and databases.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of equipment leasing and/or North America rail industry is desirable.
- Hybrid Work Environment: 60% of time in office, with flexibility to work from home.
