Behavioral Health Specialist

Join District Health Care Services as a Diagnostician and contribute to delivering high-quality behavioral health services to our patients.
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Diagnostician to join our team. As a Diagnostician, you will be responsible for providing culturally competent care to patients, triaging and providing consultation services, and delivering brief, consultation-based services using an integrated care model.
Key Responsibilities- Support the organization in contributing to the quadruple aim: improving health outcomes, improving patient experience, supporting care team well-being, and financial sustainability.
- Perform patient care and mental health provider duties in a safe and compliant manner.
- Conduct thorough peer reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Document in the medical chart in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership and staff on panel and population management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuously improve the quality of care for patients.
- Master's Degree in a relevant field.
- Current DC Professional License (social work, professional counseling, psychology, or other relevant mental health license).
- Competent in basic psychotherapy skills, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and active listening.
- Able to utilize evidence-based interventions to improve mental health outcomes.
