Key Responsibilities:- Cleaning Duties:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal.
- Dust and clean surfaces, including desks, tables, and windowsills.
- Wash windows and glass doors.
- Clean and maintain kitchen and break areas.
- Maintenance and Upkeep:
- Perform routine inspections to identify areas needing cleaning or maintenance.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Facilities Manager.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and minor repairs.
- Special Projects:
- Assist with setup and cleanup for events and meetings.
- Perform seasonal tasks such as snow removal and salting walkways in winter.
- Ensure all areas comply with health and safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform strenuous tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
