Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at ITG Cigars. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems of machinery, equipment, and physical structures in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection of equipment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems, and implement repairs as needed.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks on schedule.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of equipment and facilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to demonstrate predictable, reliable, and timely attendance.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions and to complete assigned tasks on schedule.
  • Ability to understand and calculate basic math.
  • Ability to learn from directions, observations, and mistakes, and apply procedures using good judgment.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment, with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other hazardous conditions. The successful candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work at heights.
