Job Overview

Salary:

Materials Management:
As an entry-level Materials Manager at Adjutant Solutions Group, you will support and collaborate with a senior materials manager to assess material requirements for smaller projects and manage the logistics of shipments from the source to the designated location.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and coordination of material inventory and procurement operations.

• Stay informed about industry standards and relevant certifications in materials management.

• Aid in the transfer of materials between local distribution points.

• Support the receiving process of materials at the designated storage facility.

• Help in the picking, packing, and organizing of shipments for kitted packages from the storage facility.

• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records at the storage facility.

• Contribute to the updating of inventory summaries.

• Participate in project team meetings and discussions.

• Engage in one-on-one interactions with project team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a technical discipline or a related field.

• 0-2 years of experience in materials management or a similar role.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors

Develop your understanding of materials management principles and practices by assisting in the following areas:

• Converting material forecasts into purchase orders.

• Monitoring the status of purchase orders.

• Coordinating and tracking shipments.

• Addressing issues related to damaged shipments.

• Overseeing inventory management at receiving locations.

• Reconciling invoices with received shipments.

• Keeping the project management team informed about material statuses and potential risks.

• Supporting the materials management assistant with inventory and pedigree oversight.

• Collaborating with client and vendor project team members.

• Occasionally interacting with staff from other client functions.

• Building proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Visio.

• Enhancing problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
