Pharmacy Liaison Specialist

At CPS Solutions, LLC, we are seeking a highly motivated and customer service-oriented Pharmacy Liaison Specialist to join our team. This role will provide outstanding support to our patients, working alongside clinical pharmacists, interacting with physicians and healthcare professionals, and contacting insurance companies to find payment assistance programs.

Responsibilities:
• Greet patients upon arrival to the clinic
• Explain the benefits of our specialty pharmacy and successfully enroll patients into the program
• Perform all insurance benefit investigations, prior authorization, claim rejects, overrides, etc.
• Work with patients to find financial aid (grants, manufacture programs, discount cards, etc.) to ensure they have access to the medications they need
• Data/order entry and verification of patient information
• Provide direct support to enrolled patients to ensure that they are supported throughout their therapy regimen and achieve their intended outcome

This includes:
• Conducting outbound phone calls for patient support, adherence checks, and refill reminders
• Appropriately triaging any clinical questions to the appropriate clinician (pharmacist, nurse, or provider)
• Participating in conferences and workshops to help promote CPS

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience as a pharmacy liaison/technician highly preferred
• Registered, or the ability to become registered, as a pharmacy technician in the State of Maryland
• Experience interacting with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals (preferably in a medical clinic)
• Knowledge of benefit investigations, prior authorization support, and patient financial assistance work a plus
• Strong people skills and the ability to work with teams across various business units
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, EMR systems (EPIC, Cerner, or Meditech), and dispensing systems (QS1, RX30, or Computer Rx) highly preferred
• Provide a high level of customer service, while always upholding CPS standards
