Responsibilities:
  • Enroll patients into the program, assisting with recruitment to ensure maximum benefits for patients
  • Deliver exceptional service to each patient, ensuring our pharmacy is perceived as the pharmacy of choice and impacting patient success in therapy
  • Retain patients throughout therapy, achieving best possible clinical outcomes by supporting patients at each step
  • Prevent and resolve drug-related issues, providing drug information to patients, families, physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals
  • Coordinate clinical projects, assist with formulary decisions, ensure billing compliance, and revenue capture, and lead other projects as needed
  • Serve as a resource and drug expert in specialty medications, increasing knowledge through research and writing activities
Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree or Board Certification (e.g., PharmD, M.S., Board Certification in a subspecialty)
  • Licensed to practice or ability to become licensed as a Pharmacist in the State of Maryland
  • Energy and willingness to be hands-on, execute quickly and accurately, and define processes and protocols for the future
  • Strong people skills and ability to work with teams across various clinics and health system partners
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels inside and outside the organization
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Calendar
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as an Ambulatory Clinical Specialist in a specialty disease setting and ability to work across multiple specialties
  • Proficiency in multiple EMR systems, such as EPIC, Cerner, or Meditech
  • Proficiency with dispensing systems, such as QS1, RX30, Computer Rx, and experience in pharmacy dispensing
  • PGY2 Residency in Specialty Pharmacy

  • (Flu) Influenza - required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
