Network Engineer Position

This role requires an individual to work on-site in South Burlington, Vermont, providing 24/7 support coverage. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing complex network architectures, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy network hardware and software components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard the network from threats.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and traffic patterns, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Analyze network traffic patterns and usage to predict future capacity requirements.
  • Recommend upgrades and optimizations to support growing network demands.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or formal technical training or equivalent experience.
  • 5 or more years' experience in network engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VLANs.
  • Proficiency in emerging technologies like SD-WAN, SDN, and network virtualization.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
