Job Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant will function as an integral member of our healthcare team, providing direct patient care and supporting administrative duties. This role requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist medical and nursing staff with various tasks, including taking medical histories, recording vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
  • Perform routine administrative duties, such as answering telephones, greeting patients, and updating patient medical records.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, perform basic laboratory tests, and dispose of contaminated supplies.
  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician, and authorize drug refills as needed.
  • Draw blood, prepare patients for x-rays and tests, and take electrocardiograms.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is strongly preferred.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA is required.
  • BLS Certification is required.
Work Environment

This role is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
