Job Summary

The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and confidentiality of patient health records. This role involves organizing and updating health files, ensuring compliance with facility and company policies, and providing support to healthcare staff as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a system of health files and logs concerning patient diagnosis, treatment, admissions, discharges, and daily patient census changes
File loose documentation generated from inside and outside institutions, such as laboratory reports, radiology results, and consultation reports
Ensure confidentiality of all medical records information
Retrieve medical charts for healthcare staff or clinics as requested
Release information at the direction of the Medical Director or Health Services Administrator

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Current CPR Certification
Minimum of one (1) year medical records experience
