- Conduct test drives and evaluate vehicle components and systems using diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair various automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
- Communicate effectively with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed about necessary additional services.
- Coordinate with the parts department to secure required components.
- Document all work performed on repair orders accurately.
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as directed by the service manager.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained in a clean condition and report any changes in appearance or condition to the service advisor.
- Maintain a tidy and organized shop area.
It is essential to stay informed about and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA standards. Operate all tools and equipment safely and report any safety concerns to management immediately.
All candidates must demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment screenings, including background checks, motor vehicle records, drug tests, and possess a valid driver's license.
