We are seeking a skilled Signal Processing Engineer to join our team at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing innovative signal processing solutions to tackle complex challenges in the RF domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement novel signal processing algorithms to defeat enemy radar and communication systems.
  • Study and evaluate the performance of current and future radar and communication systems.
  • Participate in the end-to-end modeling and performance evaluation of new systems being designed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype and test new concepts.
  • Brief sponsors and internal stakeholders on project progress and results.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in engineering with a concentration in signal processing or a related field.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in signal processing design and analysis.
  • Strong programming skills in MATLAB or Python.
  • Coursework in estimation and detection theory, communication systems, or statistical signal processing.
  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret level clearance and ultimately a TS/SCI level security clearance.
