About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Department Supervisor to join our team at TJ Maxx. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Merchandise Coordination: Orchestrates truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor, and ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
  • Associate Development: Trains and mentors Associates on merchandising and processing principles, and ensures they complete tasks and activities according to store plan.
  • Customer Experience: Ensures an excellent customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store.
  • Inventory Management: Monitors productivity of team and coaches as necessary, and ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
  • Communication Skills: Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
