At Medicine Journal, we are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team of medical professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and a passion for working with patients undergoing invasive and non-invasive procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate procedure time during patient clinic visits
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to gather relevant patient data
- Start IVs, administer medications, draw lab work, take patient history, and perform patient assessments as needed
- Recognize risks and complications related to procedures through physical assessment
- Work under direct supervision of Faculty and Resident Physicians
- Assist in promoting effective learning and training environment
- Coordinate daily clinic flow for a clinical team supporting clinic physicians
- Collaborate with Practice Manager and other Clinical Leads in the Practice
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Tennessee
- BLS completed prior to going to unit/department and maintained going forward
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of surgical specialty procedures
- ACLS
- Knowledge of general nursing principles and practice skills
- Knowledge of organizational functions, policies and regulations
- Knowledge of current trends and new developments
