At Medicine Journal, we are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team of medical professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and a passion for working with patients undergoing invasive and non-invasive procedures.


Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate procedure time during patient clinic visits
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to gather relevant patient data
  • Start IVs, administer medications, draw lab work, take patient history, and perform patient assessments as needed
  • Recognize risks and complications related to procedures through physical assessment
  • Work under direct supervision of Faculty and Resident Physicians
  • Assist in promoting effective learning and training environment
  • Coordinate daily clinic flow for a clinical team supporting clinic physicians
  • Collaborate with Practice Manager and other Clinical Leads in the Practice

Requirements:



  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Tennessee
  • BLS completed prior to going to unit/department and maintained going forward

Preferred Qualifications:



  • 1-2 years of surgical specialty procedures
  • ACLS
  • Knowledge of general nursing principles and practice skills
  • Knowledge of organizational functions, policies and regulations
  • Knowledge of current trends and new developments
