Vascular Sonographer Specialist

As a Vascular Sonographer at CommonSpirit Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to perform non-invasive vascular sonography exams independently, utilizing their expertise to identify and record anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images.
Responsibilities:
• Perform clinical assessments and diagnostic vascular laboratory examinations, including carotid duplex, peripheral vascular, and abdominal duplex segmental blood pressure and exercise testing and physiology evaluations.
• Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record appropriate anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images, and differentiate normal from abnormal and recognize artifacts.
• Coordinate work schedules with supervisors and front desk staff to ensure workload coverage and proper study order.
• Maintain a daily log of patients seen and bill each patient appropriately.
• Follow lab protocols and deviate when clinically necessary.
• Prepare summaries of technical findings on vascular exams and relay preliminary findings to referring physicians or departments according to laboratory policy.
Requirements:
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Sonography institution and credentialed in Vascular Sonography (RDMS or CCI)
• AHA BLS
• Credentials from ARDMS or CCI in Vascular Sonography or become credentialed within one year from date of hire
• Maintain 12 CME credits per year
