Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Cayuga Health System is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse population of patients and provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients and families, whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex, and quickly recognize normal parameters, deviations, and abnormalities in physical, emotional, developmental, and behavioral status.
  • Develop and implement care plans that prioritize patient and family needs, and demonstrate ability to effectively prioritize both expected and unanticipated needs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care giving, show follow-through on delivery, and demonstrate critical thinking skills by making appropriate clinical decisions, proactively addressing potential and actual problems, and executing compliant clinical documentation.
  • Assist peers and team members in acquiring department-specific knowledge, skills, and behaviors, and provide leadership in implementing the standards of patient care.

Requirements:

  • Active New York Nursing license
  • Associates Degree in Nursing
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an Accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Repetitive use of hands and fingers
  • Lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs)
  • Sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time

Location and Travel Requirements:

  • Onsite

Pay Range Disclosure:

  • $39.63 to $49.18 per hour
