Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Property Adjuster to join our team at The Silver Lining. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for handling complex property claims with minimal supervision and guidance from the manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize current claims technology to research and formulate a basis for coverage decisions
  • Conduct thorough investigations, evaluate damages and liability, and negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, and attorneys
  • Manage active files, ensure proper reserving, and participate in training activities
  • Present claims to the Committee and supervise litigated files
  • Act as a mentor for others in the team or department
Requirements
  • Proficiency with computers and current technology
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience handling large and complex property claims
  • Prior estimating experience within the restoration industry
  • Oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field
  • Associate in Claims designation
  • Associate in General Insurance designation
  • CPCU coursework or other continuing education
