Technical Support Specialist

TEKsystems is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to provide first-level technical support for network and desktop equipment at a local site.
Provide technical assistance and training to end-users on network and office tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to access to external systems, including the mainframe, servers, applications, internet, and email systems.
Escalate complex problems to technical and administrative teams for resolution.
Manage equipment inventory to ensure business continuity.
Ensure network and IT hardware and software comply with established standards and policies.
Support hardware and software upgrades, OS patching, and user ID provisioning.
Create and maintain site documentation and operation procedures.
Provide second-level support to other sites as needed.
Participate in workgroups and project management functions.
Perform related work as required.
Create and update tickets in the Remedy ticket management system.
Attend required meetings.
Work is typically Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional after-hours or on-call requirements.
