Sports Site Supervisor

At the YMCA of Greater Dayton, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sports Site Supervisor to lead our youth and adult sports programs.

Job Summary:

The Sports Site Supervisor will provide excellent leadership and support to our youth, teen, and adult programs, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to youth and adult sports programs, ensuring program quality and safety.
• Inspect sports sites and equipment for safety hazards, damage, or wear, and ensure the gym and playing field are ready for games with physical setting and equipment.
• Work at all games to ensure all aspects of the games and game days run smoothly, and monitor and provide guidance to site officials.
• Find substitutes according to set procedures, and remain visible to participants when on duty.
• Communicate to direct supervisor any concerns or incidents that may need follow-up, and promote other YMCA programs and recruit new participants in support of the Program Director's plan.
• Create an atmosphere that is based on fair play and incorporates it in a manner that is both demonstrative and professional.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma preferred.
• Six or more months of related experience in the area of responsibility.
• Must hold a valid driver's license, insurable driver's record according to the YMCA's insurance carriers, and have reliable transportation to travel for business meetings, training events, YMCA site visits, vendors, and suppliers, etc.
