Job Overview

The Warehouse Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in the efficient movement of goods within the facility. This position involves utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to transport materials, which may include raw ingredients, packaged products, or finished items. Adherence to established protocols for inventory rotation and flow is essential. The operator will also manage all necessary documentation and procedures associated with these tasks. Additionally, proficiency in the Voice system for order picking and loading is required to minimize errors and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of powered jacks and trucks to ensure safety and operational readiness.
  • Efficiently operate powered jacks and trucks for material handling.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and company policies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate workflow for all assigned tasks.
  • Complete all required documentation for operational functions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including all loading docks and storage areas.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments as necessary.
  • Uphold cleanliness standards throughout the warehouse.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Utilize the Voice system for order picking and loading tasks.
Qualifications
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Basic mathematical skills are required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish and/or English/Polish is preferred.
  • Forklift certification is highly desirable.
  • A high school diploma is preferred.
  • Experience in the food industry is an advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Previous experience in a Voice order picking environment is beneficial.
  • Experience working in a cold storage environment is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with minimal need for supervision.
  • Prior warehouse experience is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience operating a forklift, working in a warehouse, or in a cold environment is required.
