Job Overview

The Warehouse Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse by utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to transport various materials. This position is essential for maintaining proper product rotation and ensuring smooth workflow throughout the facility. The operator will be responsible for adhering to established protocols for documentation and procedures, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment through the Voice system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of powered jacks and trucks to ensure safety and operational readiness.
  • Operate powered jacks and trucks in compliance with company policies and safety standards.
  • Maintain an efficient and timely workflow for all assigned tasks.
  • Complete all necessary documentation associated with the tasks performed.
  • Keep the work area, including docks and coolers, clean and organized.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, clerks, and other team members as needed.
  • Ensure overall cleanliness of the warehouse environment.
  • Utilize the Voice system for accurate picking and loading of orders.
Qualifications
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Basic math skills are essential.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish and/or English/Polish is preferred.
  • Forklift certification is highly desirable.
  • A high school diploma is preferred.
  • Experience in the food industry is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proven track record of meeting high customer expectations.
  • Experience in a Voice order picking environment is beneficial.
  • Prior experience in cold storage environments is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with minimal need for supervision.
  • Previous warehouse experience is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience operating a forklift or working in a warehouse or cold environment is required.
